Day 53: Team East

Paula and Joey enjoy the last days together with Jordan. The three travelers start a roadtrip from Batumi to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. They stop off in the middle of their route in Borjomi. This is where the mineral water for the whole country is bottled. Actually, the travelers try the water from one of the mineral water springs but do not really like the water as it tastes salty, warm and metallic. In Borjomi they explore the national park and enjoy the beautiful nature of Georgia which is kind of unexpected for all three of them.

Then they hit the road again and arrive in Tbilisi where they stay at the Brobro hostel. The hostel was recommended by Christina who the travelers met at the beach restaurant in Batumi. The owner of the hostel, Sofia, was born in Tbilisi, but traveled a lot. Since she always loved foreign countries and different people and cultures she decided to open a hostel together with her friends. Sofia offers to explain the travelers how to cook Khinkali, a local dish which is kind of a Georgian dumpling. So together with two other people who stay at the hostel, Marina and Sebastian, the travelers take part in Sofia's Khinkali masterclass.

I love dumplings! I am a big fan of Momos and Dim Sums, but never tried Khinkali! They're next on my eat list. :)
