I am part of Yuujou because...

I come from a small rural place on the Nothern tip of New Zealand. I am of Maori decent and feel a deep rooted desire to explore the world like my polynesian ancestors once explored the pacific. I want to take my experiences and extend on what I know contextually about my community back home in New Zealand and see how it works in conjunction with a wider world perspective on the human experience. I have a passion for people and culture aswell as deep drive for understanding the world through the lens of others and thier experiences. I am extremely interested in film and photography and hope to integrate those intrest into my experience with the Yuhjou journey. The most important thing to me is to have the opportunity to share my experiences being from a uniquely different cultural background and hopefully in turn learn about the experiences of others. Living life and sharing that living with others to me is the biggest learning opportunity there is.
