Visible frontiers are of upmost importance to this generation that fails to realize the impact of globalization and the relevance of international harmony. More frequently it is forgotten that other cultures exist and that differing mentalities can actually aid in solving international issues as well as fill the mind with knowledge one would have never received with just influence from a single society. My life has been impacted by the European expertise (my mom is Austrian), the south american flair (my dad is peruvian) and the american structure (I grew up in California) to provide me with a health dose of societal differences and tabu topics worth touching. I can maneuver new countries with ease because I demonstrate an interest in what the locals do prior to imposing my own cultural norms upon them. This experience will be life-enriching for my young brain and will allow me the opportunity to show others why meeting new people and inter-connectedness is crucial. :)
