I am part of Yuujou because...
Yuujou and I share the same values. I strongly believe in meaningful human connections, with a particular curiosity of those who come from a different background to me. We all have so much to offer to each other and although we have advanced spectacularly with technology in the last two decades, we have lost the strength of being a community, not only worldwide but within the neighbourhoods we live in! Together we are stronger and I believe we need more positive projects like Yuujou that help people connect in order to regain that sense of humanness. As someone with a strong investment in mental health, I really appreciate the power of human relationships - how a small smile goes a long way and a simple hello can establish a lifelong, cherished friendship. The Yuujou concept is a beautiful one that I would absolutely be honoured to be a part of.
Be genuine. When they say they’ll do something, they do it. Be honest. Offer another perspective if needed but with respect and love.
People put on a mask and hide who they really are or have a hidden agenda.
Food. (And I have no regrets!) Life’s simplest pleasure. A great way to experience another culture, start a conversation and make lifelong friends.
