Been super exciting here! Got to meet our first host last night Jeniffer who was a comedian and an actress in Nigeria. Mel you may actually have seen some of her movies, I feel like I had haha. And today Paula and I are heading off to the second host who’s also in Berlin and staying there a few days until John arrives. Then I think he’s sending us to Czechia

It’s going super well! People are super excited to host us which we were a bit nervous about haha

Haha she said that was a lost cause. I just have to settle for “better than Joe but still needs work”

Weve been eating fairly normal since we have 100 days of interesting eating ahead of us. Had sushi day twice pizza twice, a lot of Italian food. Panos and I split some Fondue at Jeniffers Swiss restaurant. Paula and I attempted to cook a carrot cake for her and Yvonne’s parents and failed miserably because I had to do the grocery shopping and all the stuff was in German so I couldn’t find much and what I thought I bought was also wrong. So instead of flower we had corn starch and things like that haha.

Lol that’s so funny about the cake! You should have said it was a Liberian delicacy or something

Today is a study day for me...I have *hopefully* my final 2 exams later this week

There’s a chance of going out tonight, but we’ll see

I'm making some Liberian soup for my friend who just had a baby, I got to give him his middle name so I chose Melvin! 😁 That is awesome you are finally going to get to see Berlin! Will your host be able to take you around or will you be figuring it out on your own?

Yes we went all around. Saw a lot the wall, the stadium, the tower, köpenick and ate some currywurst. Pretty full day. And haha why Melvin??

Looks like John is coming in Sunday so we’re off to a slower start since he’s flying into Berlin we don’t want to leave but then gonna be heading south to Prague and Munich

Host #3 is in Lenggries but can’t see have us until Friday so gonna be doing some site seeing along the way

Haha luckily Paula also hates beer so this is working well. Flo had us take a sip so we could say we tried it but other than that I’ve managed to stay away 😂

I’ve been to Munich, they have a lot of great bakeries! I’ll look up the name and let you, apparently it is famous. We went to the castle that Sleeping Beauty is based off of, it’s a little outside of town though. They have a really nice trail next to it with a cool waterfall and a bridge that goes over it if it fits into your travel plans!

Yeah, it’s Neuschwanstein Castle! That’s really cool, do you think you’ll do any hiking in the Alps?

We went and climbed a tower over looking the whole city.

And it was finals week for the hosts. They were all in school and so we were supposed to meet Sunday but they had a surprise final Monday. So we then met Tuesday and we’re going to go to a friend in Russia but it ended up not working out so we met with another guy in Prague Vlad. Who is now sending us to his friend in Ukraine.

Totally understand them not being able to meet at first. It’d be so crazy if someone had shown up finals week at UF. “Wanna come join our all-nighter in the lib”

They were all super awesome and it was great hanging with them later in the week. Definitely a switch being sent to university students.

Alyona is in video production and has a podcast of interesting people she meets. She’s a friend of Nika who was one of the top 25 we are staying with here in Moscow. So it worked out to meet up today. Just talking about Yuujou and the ideas behind it

And then it started down pour raining so we went out and danced hahaha

Just played chess against a guy from the Russian national team, Sergei Shipov

3 of them played 50 of us at once and the guy I was playing was against 20 people and out of all 50 I was second to last one standing haha. 🔥♟🔥♟🔥♟

Knew I was gonna lose but put up a solid fight haha

It was to raise awareness of the sport here in Kazan, cause apparently Russia has the best national team in The world this year

The Red Bull air race world championships are here in Kazan this weekend so it’s crazy packed. So they put up a bunch of tables in the center street and had a chess tournament haha. Pretty funny idea and cool to be apart of

Haha for me that feels like 17 years ago! And 4 am tomorrow morning.

So like 8 hours from now we’ll be on our way to Japan!

Georgia had best food

Krasnoyarsk we had an amazing time and met the most people who were all so friendly

The guys in Ukraine will always have a special place in my heart ❤ Sasha and Bogdan were so freakin cool.

Slovenia had definitely the most breathtaking views

Philippines has been all around amazing. The people here are so bubbly and funny and open and the nature is amazing

Hainan was a crazy unexpected twist. Never would have guessed our experience in China would have been such a tropical paradise haha

Prague has the best ice cream and was cool to meet Paula’s best friend

So yeah I can’t pick haha

Haha heck yes we did. Such a blast we’ve been getting emotional these past few days. Gonna be hard to live without these two bugging me 24/7 😂
